Intended Use

This release is an academic edition. It is intended for use as a reference for studying, as an academic reference, and for research. Its intended users are students, trainees, researchers and academic staff, and licensed healthcare professionals using it as a reference alongside their own judgment. It is intended for use in training and under supervision. It is not intended as a replacement for diagnosis, for clinical experience, or for independent clinical judgment. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or practise medicine, and it must not be relied on as the primary basis for any clinical decision about an individual patient. Any prescription, administration or other real clinical use of a medicine, and any recommendation for clinical use, must be supervised and carried out by a licensed healthcare professional exercising their own clinical judgment. Nothing shown in this application authorises anyone else to prescribe or administer a medicine. The drug information in this release reflects adult labelling and adult dosing. It is not intended for paediatric, neonatal or obstetric dosing, and it does not cover every population, product or formulation.

Not for Time-Critical Decisions

This application is designed to stay out of your way so that you do not lose your place in a record while looking something up. It is not designed, and must not be used, to make decisions faster. It is not intended for emergency, resuscitation, triage, intraoperative or any other time-critical or time-sensitive decision. Every recommendation it shows is meant to be read, checked against the sources it cites, and weighed against the clinical picture before it is acted on. Where there is not time to do that, this application is not the right tool. It raises no alarms and issues no alerts of its own. It answers only when it is asked, and it never directs a course of action.

This application ("App") is designed as a clinical decision support reference tool intended for educational and information purposes only. The information provided—including, but not limited to, potential drug-drug interactions, drug-allergy interactions, side effects, and clinical rationales—is synthesized from publicly available medical literature, drug labeling, and established clinical guidelines.

Healthcare professionals utilizing this App are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of the information provided against primary sources (such as current FDA-approved drug labeling or official peer-reviewed clinical compendia) before making any final prescribing, dispensing, or treatment decisions. Patient care must always be individualized based on the complete clinical history, laboratory findings, and specific needs of the patient.

Updates and Corrections

The reference content in this App can change between versions. A correction to a dose, an interaction severity, or a warning is delivered the same way a software fix is - as an update - and a correction that reaches you slowly is a correction that has not reached you. For that reason, security fixes and small corrections install without asking, and take effect the next time you open the App. Anything that adds or changes a feature is offered to you first, with a description of what changed. Two consequences worth being clear about. First, the version you have may not be the version you installed; the About page always states which build you are running and lists any patch that installed quietly. Second, quiet installation can be turned off in the settings menu, and if you work somewhere that requires software changes to be reviewed before they are applied, turn it off - with it off, every update is offered before anything is installed. This does not change your obligation to verify against primary sources. No version of this App, however current, is a substitute for the label in front of you.

Students and Trainees

If you are a student or trainee, this application is provided for your study and training, to be used under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional. It is not a license to practise and it is not a substitute for supervised clinical experience. Any real clinical use of the information in this application, and any recommendation made for the care of an actual patient, must be made by a licensed healthcare professional who has independently reviewed the basis for it. If you are not licensed to prescribe or administer a medicine, nothing shown here entitles you to do so.
