Refund Policy
The Academic Edition is free, so there is nothing to refund. The only money that changes hands today is a voluntary donation, and we will return one that was made by mistake. The terms for the paid Professional Edition are set out here in advance, and will apply when it exists.
There is nothing to buy yet
The Academic Edition is free of charge and always has been. Registering for a licence costs nothing. Nothing on this site is gated behind a payment, and the Professional Edition is in development with no price and no release date.
We say this first because a refund policy on a site that sells nothing is otherwise a puzzle.
Donations
There is a donation link in the footer and in the application. It is entirely voluntary, it buys nothing, and it unlocks nothing — donating gives you no licence, no feature and no support commitment that you would not have had anyway.
Because a donation is a gift rather than a purchase, donations are not refundable as a matter of course. But we will refund one without argument if:
- you donated by mistake, or twice, or entered the wrong amount; or
- the donation was not authorised by the cardholder; or
- you simply changed your mind and tell us within 30 days.
Write to us and say so. We do not ask for a reason and we do not make you argue for it. Refunds go back to the card that paid, which is the only route Stripe gives us, and normally take five to ten business days to appear.
Donations are not tax-deductible charitable contributions unless we tell you otherwise in writing. We are not a registered charity.
The Professional Edition, when it exists
These terms are published now so they are not written after the fact, and they will apply to the first paid release.
- A subscription may be cancelled at any time, and cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep the software for the rest of the period you have paid for.
- If the software does not do what this site says it does, tell us. If we cannot put it right in a reasonable time, we will refund the period in question in full.
- We will not charge for a renewal without telling you beforehand, in time for you to cancel.
- Seats added part-way through a period are charged pro rata; seats removed take effect at the next renewal.
Your rights as a consumer
Nothing in this policy takes away a right that the law of your state gives you and does not let you waive. Where a state consumer statute gives you a cancellation or refund right stronger than the terms above, that right applies and these terms do not cut it down.
Rxference is offered in the United States only. We are not currently selling to consumers in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, so the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal that applies to distance sales there is not engaged. If that changes, this section changes with it before anything is sold.
Chargebacks
If something has gone wrong, please write to us before asking your bank to reverse the payment. A chargeback costs us a fee and tells us nothing about what went wrong, and we would almost certainly have refunded you if asked.

Write to privacy@rxference.ai with the date and amount, or the receipt Stripe sent you. We will reply within five business days.
